Special Events

Opening Reception at the Kansas City Public Library — All JCLC attendees are invited to kick off the conference at the Kansas City Public Library. Enjoy multicultural food, entertainment and take a tour of the stunning library while networking and socializing with old and new colleagues. Special thanks to the Kansas City Public Library for generously providing the beautiful space for this reception.

Grand Opening of Exhibits & Exhibits Reception — Celebrate the opening of the exhibit floor with a ribbon cutting and refreshments. Visit the exhibitors to see the latest in publications, media, technology, equipment, services and supplies.

Plenary/All-Conference Session — Helping to set the the stage for the conference, join leaders from the profession for a panel discussion covering topics of leadership, service to our communities, and the importance of diversity within the profession.

Legacy Breakfast* — Celebrate the librarians who have left a legacy of contributions to the caucus associations, ALA and the profession. Awards Reception — Join your friends and colleagues in a celebration of the accomplishments of some of our best and brightest.
